We were recently donated a giant corn plant that was just too big to keep in the shop. Instead of letting it go to waste, we’ve given it a new lease of life by turning it into lots of smaller plants. These cuttings will root, grow, and thrive — and by next year, they’ll be ready for sale at Ability Grows. First Day At Our Plant Shop!
Hello everyone, in this 1 minute video, we see our service users engaged in a range of activities that contribute to the running of Ability Grows. There are a range of daily tasks that need attending to with no two days being the same. From researching the individual starting requirements of any given seed and its care thereafter to cleaning plant labels for later reuse on new plants. These tasks provide service users with development of a range of skills, gain confidence and increased self-esteem from the feeling of contributing to something meaningful.
